Go in with 3 records on my list and come out with this (2nd track of each album, given that it’s Calendar Week 2.)

Mike Cohen (who owns it) and Mary Diburro (who works there and knows more about music at age 22 than she has any right to) have stuff that they reckon’s worth listening to spread around the counter.

Plus “Buy 5, get 1 free” and “Well, you’ve only bought 4 so pick something from the used rack for free” and my fiscal force field shield starts looking a bit tattered.

Good thing I’m only there once a year.

(Although – if I’m honest – I could happily spend a LOT of time there)
